Kids for Kids

A Community Concert in Support of Sarnelli House

On June 1, 2025, students and families representing the RIS Class of 2028 gathered for Kids for Kids: A Charity Concert — an event that brought together music, service, and community spirit. The student-led concert was organized in support of children with disabilities at Sarnelli House in Nong Khai.

The concert reflected RIS’ broader philosophy of connecting student learning to real-world purpose. Through the high school music program, students are encouraged to develop their skills not only through performance but also through collaboration, leadership, and community engagement. Kids for Kids provided an opportunity for students to apply those values while supporting a meaningful cause.

Sarnelli House has long been one of the service learning partners supported through RIS’ connection with the Redemptorists of Thailand. The funds raised from this event—a total of 220,302 THB—will contribute to medical care, nutrition, and daily needs for the children and young adults living under the care of Sarnelli House.

In attendance at the event was Rev. Fr. Puwanai (Ole) Tantikun, C.Ss.R., Chair of the Sarnelli House Foundation Board, who remarked:
“It is always encouraging to see students take initiative not only to perform, but to serve. The support from this event will have a real impact on the children in our care.”

The school recognized the students, families, and supporters who contributed their time and talents to bring the event to life. Appreciation was extended as well to Dr. Perawat Chookhiatti, Managing Director of Siam Music Yamaha, who sponsored the concert venue.

The evening served as a small but meaningful reminder of how music, service, and community often intersect at RIS.
