Tri-M, a national honor society for academically capable and musically gifted students, is a National Association for Music Education (NAfME) program. With Tri-M, students can develop confidence, creativity, critical thinking, compassion, and other leadership skills to serve them well beyond school!
This week, RIS held its first-ever induction ceremony to welcome the members formally. ![]()
Secondary School Principal Dr. Nathan Meisner opened the ceremony with words of inspiration preceding the charter presentation.
Chapter co-advisors and beloved high school music teachers Ms. Sarah Hanson and Ms. Jennifer Forsland presented RIS Tri-M’s officers—Prom (Nikki) Kotepech (Co25), Monrada (Moji) Sae-Seai (Co24), and Natacha Chindapol (Co27), who will serve as President, Vice-President, and Secretary, respectively.
Aside from performance opportunities, Tri-M members actively engage in community service. In early January 2024, RIS’ Tri-M chapter helped present a special after-school charity concert, where members performed with cello rock group Low Strung, a renowned ensemble of Yale undergrad musicians. 🎶🎻 The event raised over ฿20,000 to support the Pattaya Redemptorist School for the Blind. đź’™ The Yale undergraduates, some Tri-M Music Honor Society members themselves, joined a Tri-M membership lunch that was personal, easy, and meaningful for the RIS students.Â
Congratulations to our newly inducted Tri-M Music Honor Society members! 🎶 We look forward to your musical adventures and future endeavors!
