A new chapter begins as RIS joins the global Church in celebrating the Holy Father’s appointment
The Redemptorist Fathers Foundation of Thailand and Ruamrudee International School join Catholics around the world in celebrating the election of Pope Leo XIV.
Born in Chicago and widely admired for his missionary service in Peru, Pope Leo XIV is seen as a beacon of compassion and hope for the Church in today’s world. His pastoral journey reflects a life of humility and dedication, offering fresh inspiration and direction.
Rev. Fr. Pete Jittapol Plangklang, C.Ss.R., RIS School Director and Provincial Superior, shared the following:

We are inspired by the Holy Father’s humble beginnings in Chicago and his faithful service in Peru. His life of dedication and compassion offers renewed hope and direction for the Church in these challenging times.
We offer our prayers for Pope Leo XIV, asking God’s abundant blessings upon his pontificate. May he lead with wisdom, courage, and the joy of the Gospel.”
